Jesus Christ – The original deplorable.

Have you met my Lord Jesus Christ?
My Jesus, is one hellava cool dude. A carpenter who hung in low brau hangouts and wasn’t too good to talk to hookers and beggars. He could hold his own in mental jousts against the wisest scribes and then marvel a group in a local tavern. Jesus could walk among peasants and Kings and be at home among them all.

There are quite a few people who push the idea Jesus was some weak beatnik peace and love hippie who had no spine. They try and use this imagery to shame Christians into “acting” christian.  Example; If you fight back when you are attacked or God forbid, use some curse words, they accuse you of not being a real christian. Try and shame you into a box of futility. These same legalistic minded people are the main reason the Christian religion is floundering and we are having so many issues growing our youth ministries. A lack of ability to relate to regular everyday average Americans. This tactic is used by non Christians as well.
miracles-of-jesus_833_460_80_c1Now these are the same people who will try and accuse you of having moral issues as a christian for supporting Trump as President. For not caring about his tweets and his brash nature (I love it). It’s as if they have never read a bible and don’t understand the type of men and women God uses for His glory. There is complete disconnect in understanding of the flawed nature in God’s most beloved and chosen. Even looking at David, a man after God’s own heart, we see David was extremely flawed and sinful. I reject these attempts by those who would try and shame me for my secular decisions. There is no shame in our faith in Jesus. The last time I checked I was voting for my President not my Deacon.

Jesus gives us examples throughout the Bible that fly in the face of these modern theories and ideas about who Jesus was and is as well as the example he set for us when he walked among us on Earth.

Jesus, was and is, the original deplorable. The Christ who was ridiculed by the religious “leaders” of his time for his desire to redeem the irredeemable and his ability to walk among them humbly. His willingness to call out the fakeness of the pharisees and his willingness to Clear the Temple with a whip to ensure the message was made clear. His version of #DrainTheSwamp

I have a saying that is inspired by Jesus on this topic.
“I would rather hang out with a real sinner than a fake Christian any day of the week.”-AB

Fishermen, carpenters, prostitutes, tax collectors, and common sinners. These were the people that my Jesus reached out to and spent his time with. Salt of the Earth common folks, rich people, doctors, lawyers, and people from all walks and lifestyles. Jesus was strong, bold, honest, loyal, and one bad ass guy. He bucked against the establishment and was a rebel against religious hypocrisy. Jesus, is awesome!
His first miracle? He turned water into wine for a wedding party that had ran out of wine. In a nutshell, he got a bunch of drunk people more drunk. The son of God. First miracle! Making wine.

Jesus made a whip of cords and cleared the temple with some Proverbs 20:30 loving and had the extreme courage to die for all mankind as the last sacrifice for our sins.

Jesus, our Lord, is worthy of praise and I hope that everyone in the World gets a chance to meet the Jesus I know, love, and worship. The kick ass Jesus who was more like John Wayne than some sucked up vegan hippie hanging out @ Haight Ashbury dropping acid. Jesus Christ, is awesome!

I’m thinking Jesus deserves a little activity from those of us who love him. I personally need to do more myself. We all do, as Christianity is under attack around the world. Millions are being slaughtered. Jesus is represented by a lot of bad examples, we can do better. All followers of Jesus must get active and get take seriously a revival. There needs to be a coalition of various sects of the Christian faith working together to spread the gospel. We don’t have to, and should not, repeat the mistakes of past revivals. The legalism, politics, corruption. Keep it simple, stay humble, and keep it about our local communities and in doing so we will reach the world. Charity, youth programs, politics, get involved. Whatever your calling is in your heart, let the spirit of the Lord guide you to do the good you know you should. Be the voice for Jesus and his beliefs in your community. In case you aren’t sure what I’m saying, simply put:

Christians, it is time to be vocal, be active, and be involved in our communities and grow in faith, spirit, and numbers, God willing.

It is time to grow our faith in Jesus like we haven’t seen in years, possibly ever. As Jesus moved people and changed hearts and minds, it is our time to be emboldened, to increase our charity outreaches.

It is time to minister to the lost with the purpose of helping them find the Lord. To push back against the anti christian anti American policies being taught in our schools and other institutions throughout America.

Mathew 28
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Honestly, I can’t even believe I am even saying this. So I’ll say it again. Christianity, we are in need of a revival. We are in need of evangelism crusade. We must be active and conscious and assertive and vocal about our faith in God and direct about the fact that Jesus is Lord. We must be honest about the freedoms allowed in Christianity through Christ. We must proclaim clearly that the bible is a list of do’s and not a list of don’ts.
Jesus is the Lord of freedom!

Romans 8
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[b] And by him we cry, “Abba,[a] Father.”
16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

America suffered a backlash from legalistic religious practices for many years in America. Example? Like telling women they would go to hell for wearing jeans in the 50’s as well as many other idiotic religious rules that had nothing to do with worshiping God and being a good Christian. After the backlash in the 1960’s we in the churches adopted a way more relaxed approach (and rightfully so) to dealing with people. Applying more reasoned and mature approaches to people’s sin and life struggles is more in line with God’s word and helped with retention of church members.

However, In becoming more laid back in America, our recruiting tactics and outreach have diminished greatly and as a result we have become less relevant in the foundation of the populace in America and church sizes are dwindling. We have watered down our language and lost a willingness to call sin sin in this attempt to maintain our new modern approach. In my opinion, it is possible to do both, be kind and confrontational. One can exist with the other. This balanced approach allows a christian to be true to their Lord and religion through simple honesty and openness. It also allows us to deal with sin, as sin.

Ultimately, people just need to meet Jesus and we are here to introduce them.

For those not paying attention, Christianity is in need of growth. even as I type other religions in America are hard at work and are converting people at an alarmingly expedient rate. They are actively pursuing this as a goal. The ISLAMIC cult religion specifically is growing at a rate that will see them overtake the country as the number one religion in America if it isn’t stopped now. This dangerous religion can only be stopped by Christian outreach. The Muslim outreach community is extremely active in our country right now. Infiltrating our schools, government, and media sources. In my area tomorrow (7-1-2017) there are massive outreaches to communities happening with Muslim mosques. Potlucks, conversion classes. and so much more. Do a search and then ask yourself, as a Christian what am I doing to spread the message that Jesus is Lord? What are you doing to promote American Christian culture and to help stop Islam from taking over? I, personally need to do more, of that I am sure.

As Christians we have to decide. Will we fight to keep America a christian nation or let it go to the heathens and false Gods. Will we stand up and say no to Sharia Law? Will we say that Jesus is Lord and the only way to God is through him!? Or will we slink off into the darkness and hide in fear of our own convictions. The foundations of our faith are intertwined in the foundations of our country. Mainly, the principle of freedom of religion and choice. Any religion that demands death and submission to non believers without question is unconstitutional. Congress ruled on this in the 1950’s. Their holy word teaches them they can lie to gain favor and pursue power and resources as they multiply with sanctioned polygamy.

The truth may be harsh, but the cold hard truth is that Muhammad was a child molesting fraud. His religion teaches that all must submit to Islam or die. There is no place for this religion in America. Islam is at war with the world. Muhammad is/was not God’s prophet. Can you say that with boldness or will you cower like cowards as the Muslims take over here in America as they are in Europe? Will we allow them to enslave our women, mutilate our daughters, and destroy our American culture? Allow them to Pass Sharia Law legislation in this country? I say no. I say we stand with boldness, kindness, and resolve. I say that we proclaim loudly in unison with the Spirit of God that Jesus, is Lord.

Ultimately God is in control and has blessed us with a President who is willing to acknowledge the attempts to discriminate against Christians. A man willing to speak out on the rape and slaughter of millions of Christians around the world. The time is now to push back against the anti christian movement. If not now, when? Do not be deceived by those who tell you to shrink back. If the spirit is calling you, respond. Ignore those who tell you Jesus came to bring peace on earth and you aren’t being a christian for speaking up against other religions. Ignore the wimpy fake christian whitewashed religious types that have set aside their convictions. These are the same people who abandoned Romney when he ran for President because he wasn’t “tough enough on abortion” and then allowed four more years of Jesus hating Obama to happen. Stand firm and follow Jesus. Pray and let the spirit lead you and guide your decisions.  As for me and my household, we serve the Lord and will do more to spread the gospel in our daily lives.

Mathew 10
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

So let us put on the full armor of God and battle for the souls of those people we love and cherish in our communities. I will pray for you, your courage and wisdom in these tough times. I will pray for the success of your personal ministries, I hope you will do the same for me. And God willing, we will succeed.

In closing, let’s introduce the first Deplorable to the world, the real Jesus Christ.

Rise up you women and men of God….and the Church said….Amen

God bless you and yours, AB 6-30-2017
